Aaaaand sold. Massive congrats are in order yet again, huh? *fistbump of pride*

Again, though, I'm surprised (not unpleasantly, just surprised) you're not writing about law enforcement. "Take my Hand" is still one of my favourite works of yours; I also remember a snippet of original work you wrote years ago that starred cops and feds. Maybe it's just me, but there's just this strong parallel in my mind between you and those kinds of characters. Not a reproach at all, but you're not writing the exact stories I expected you to. Just out of curiosity, are you planning to ever "go back to your roots", so to speak?

Totally unrelated, but sorry for missing your birthday. I moved a few short weeks ago, and between the freak weather we've had here and my apartment not existing according to my ISP, getting plugged in to the internet has proven to be an interesting ordeal. Hope it was a good one.

Take care,

Thank you, dude! *fistbumps back* Although, if you keep being so excited for these, I may just try and recruit you into joining my harem of beta readers. ;)

As to your question.... Honestly, I always felt like I was bullshitting those stories a little too much because all I know about investigative procedure is from watching television, so the idea of doing something like that "for real" is more than a little daunting. Fic was okay because it doesn't really count, ya know? I might eventually try and do something along the lines of TMH pt2 (I personally think that is one of the stronger fics I've written), but I dunno...the Muse kinda just does what she wants, ya know? And right now she likes bopping from one couple to the next, writing copious amounts of lady-porn.

No worries about the b-day. I've hit the point where I try and pretend they're not happening -- though I did get a shiny new MacBook this year, so that was pretty cool. :)

Don't be a stranger!

Being part of your harem? o.O I don't think I'd be seeing a whole lot of action in any harem of yours. Or rather, seeing it is all I'd do.

Oh, a beta-reader harem. Where do I sign up? ;-) Seriously, any help I can offer you, you know it's yours.

I know what you mean when you said you don't feel qualified to write about a subject. I've had this idea for a story for a long time now, but it's framed in a pretty heavy political larger picture I just don't feel comfortable tackling. Heck, just for my latest story I've had to research sword fighting, horseback riding, alcoholic beverages, dragon language and medieval armours. For a fic. Kind of daunting is exactly what it feels like. Oh, and TmH is definitely a strong work. Hope you give Em and JJ that marriage someday :-) *hypocrite ficcer is a hypocrite*

MacBook, huh? Nice. I'm going to write it down as a nice birthday, at least as far as material possessions are concerned. Beats a slap in the face.

Sweeeeeet. I'll email ya for an opinion when I get the next one finished. It'll be a while, I'm still working on outlining the whole thing at the moment. You'll have fun, Wye kicked my ass all over the place with Veritas. :)

JJ/Emily...yeeeeah, maybe? Someday? I dunno. We'll see what happens. I started a wedding thing for them a while back, but was never able to really get rolling with it.

Research is half the fun, honestly. Right now I'm learning all about the wine-making process. :)
